Zhejiang Haishen New Materials Limited was founded in 1990 and is located in Lihai Industrial Park, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the earliest professional companies in China that specializes in the production and development of non-ionic cellulose ethers and is a participating unit in the industry standard for cellulose ether. Haishen has been awarded many honorary titles such as "High-tech Enterprise", "Provincial Science and Technology Type Small and Medium-sized Enterprise", "Provincial R&D Center", "Shaoxing Famous Brand", "Shaoxing Renowned Trademark", "AAA Credit Contract Enterprise" and "National Customs Sample Enterprise".

Haishen is committed to the research and development, production, and sales of water-soluble polymer compounds. Its main products are various types of non-ionic cellulose series products including hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), hydroxyethyl methylcellulose (HEMC), methylcellulose (MC), hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), redispersible polymer powder (RDP), hydroxypropyl starch ether (HPS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), etc. These products are widely used in different fields such as construction materials, decorative coatings, energy extraction, daily chemical detergents, papermaking and textiles, honeycomb ceramics, PVC polymerization, and more. With over 30 years of ups and downs, the company's performance has steadily and consistently grown. Since 2017, it has developed at an average annual growth rate of over 10% and has served customers from more than 80 countries and regions around the world including Germany, Russia, Italy, Japan, and more.

2022

Company invested 15 million yuan to upgrade the cellulose ether process production line, which was successfully put into use in October 2022.

2019

Product applications have been developed into construction, coatings, daily chemical, PVC polymerization, ceramics, oil drilling and other eight fields, products sold well in more than 80 countries and regions around the world.

Renamed as Zhejiang Haishen New Materials Limited sales exceeded 5,000 tons.

The establishment of a Shanghai office, the founding of Shangyu Haishen Chemical Plant, and becoming a research base for Tongji University in Shanghai; this has made it become the first specialized chemical plant in China to produce cellulose derivatives.
